US funding for critical infrastructure training
The Water Environment Federation has been given a $1.7 million grant by the US Department of Homeland Security to implement a three-year comprehensive training programme addressing 'interdependencies between the water sector and other critical infrastructures'.
Ofwat warning on future price reviews
Philip Fletcher, chair of economic regulator Ofwat, has warned the water industry in England and Wales and its investors not to assume that the regulator would reach similar conclusions either on the cost of capital or financial indicators at the next price review in 2009 as it did in the most recent review.
