ABSTRACT

Within the frame of EU funded project on the implementation of the EU Water Framework Directive, a pilot project of corporate benchmarking of water supply services was carried out in Slovenia. Eight utilities participated and were able to deliver data quickly, entirely and of high quality. The PI results also compared cross-border with utilities of Austria and Bavaria gave first hints on the state of the Slovene utilities. Hence, benchmarking can be implemented in the Slovene water supply sector but still needs efforts for a national project organisation.
