ABSTRACT
Removal of aniline from aqueous solution by macro-porous adsorptive resin, which was made in China, was investigated in this paper. The experimental results showed that the adsorption of aniline onto macro-porous resin can be completed within 180 min. The adsorption kinetics of aniline onto macro-porous resin can be described by a pseudo first-order reaction model. The rate constant (k1) was calculated to be 0.04 min-1 at the temperature of 298 K. The adsorption capacity ranged from 199 to 1490 mg/g resin when the initial aniline concentration varied from 262 to 3180 mg/l. The adsorption isotherms can be described by Langmuir equation and Freundlich equation. Temperature affected the adsorption process. Increasing temperature decreased of adsorption capacity and fastened the adsorption rate.
