A megacity held hostage: Beijing’s conflict between water and economy
Whilst China’s capital, Beijing, has achieved economic success, the city is also experiencing constraints on its available water resources, to an extent that threatens to limit growth in the future. Xiaodi Hao looks at the situation and prospects for water in the city.
