Journal of Water Supply: Research and Technology - Aqua publishes peer-reviewed scientific & technical, review, and practical/ operational papers dealing with research and development in water supply technology and management, including economics, training and public relations on a national and international level.
CALL FOR PAPERS
FOR SPECIAL THEME ISSUE OF THE JOURNAL OF WATER SUPPLY: RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGY - AQUA
Aqua seeks original research papers and review papers for a special theme issue of the Journal on Water Quality Impacts of Extreme Weather-Related Events. All submitted papers will undergo a rigorous review process and those accepted will be published in a special Journal issue expected in February 2014.
Topics for papers may include, but are not limited to
- Impacts on source water quality or quantity changes
- Challenges of extreme events to current treatment infrastructure and water supply management
- Predictive tools and model development
- Customer impacts, complaints, or public perception issues
- Planning for future climate uncertainty: Development and adoption of response plans and preventative measures for future extreme weather events
- Public health and water quality impacts from extreme events
- Practical case studies
Full manuscripts must be received by 30 June 2013. Submit the manuscript to Aqua’s on-line Editorial Manager system During the submission process, you should choose the Article Type "Special Issue Paper", and the Section/Category "Water Quality Impacts of Extreme Weather-Related Events Theme Issue". Manuscripts will be reviewed by the same rigorous process used for all submissions to Aqua.
